Patient Participation Group

The practice formed a Patient Participation Group in 2012 to work with the practice to help promote the health and well being of the people in our community. If you are interested in being part of this group or would like to know more about what they do please ask for details at reception.

You can join the PPG here.

Walton PPG Newsletter

This inaugural newsletter serves two purposes:

  • To introduce the Walton Practice Participation Group itself, and
  • To show the potential use of such a newsletter in making contact between you, the patients who use the surgery, and the practice GPs and staff.

This is an incredibly exciting, yet challenging time for Primary Care, as from 1st April, responsibility for managing huge swathes of the Healthcare budget will in essence come down to GP level, via Area Care Commissioning Groups.

In order to ensure local people have a say in how our services are planned, developed and evaluated, Patient Participation Groups like ours have been created countrywide.

As a patient at the surgery, you are very welcome to come along to our meetings to have your say.

Virtual Patient Participation

This is a group that has been set up in response to patients who have said they would like to be involved in the PPG, but are unable to attend meetings.

As a member of the VPG we will send you emails asking for your opinion on a range of topics. You decide how often and when you would like to answer.

If you would like to become a member you can email us at neeccg.waltonppg@nhs.net leaving your name and preferred email address.
