Is a home visit really necessary?

Doctors are able to see three patients in surgery for every one seen at home.

If you can get to the surgery or have someone who can bring you please do so as this helps the practice better manage its limited resources.

Also – to help the doctors plan their day, if you feel you need a home visit please contact the surgery before 10:30. Please note the doctors do not have the capacity to make home visits in the afternoon.

The reception staff will ask you to provide some details of your condition which will help the doctors decide if a visit is needed. Someone will then return your call to give further advice.
