Flu Clinics

Flu vaccination this season will be offered by appointment at the surgery.

Unfortunately, due to the changes in the vaccination programme this year and much to our disappointment, it has made it impossible for us to run our traditional drop in service at the Columbine Centre.

The vaccination programme requires patients Under the age of 65 years to have a different vaccination to those patients Over the age of 65, which has necessitated us to operate separate clinics for the different age groups.

NHS England also introduced a phased delivery schedule for all providers, whch means we will be receiving our vaccines in staggered deliveries between now and the middle of November.

As our supplies run out, you may well be asked to call back following our next delivery date to arrange an appointment - please be guided by the receptionist.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Dementia Support Clinics

Please enquire at reception to arrange an appointment - clinics are held once a month.

Repeat Prescriptions

From the 1st August 2016 practices will no longer be permitted to accept prescription requests from pharmacies or appliance contractors.

Patients will be required to take responsibility for the ordering of their prescriptions directly from the practice themselves by either handing in, or posting, the order form into the surgery or by using our on-line prescription ordering service via this website. If you would like to register for this service, please refer to the "Patient Access" section for advice on how to register, or speak to one of the receptionists.

Patients can still opt to have their prescription sent directly to a nominated pharmacy for dispensing - this process has not changed.

This new guidance has been introduced by the North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group and households should be receiving an information leaflet from them in the coming weeks. If you would like to provide feedback on the repeat prescription process, you can do so by contacting the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on: 01206 918730 between 8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday or via email to: pals.nee@nhs.net.
